Meet Mizzou Alumnus and Author Michael Atchison

Michael Atchison received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Missouri in 1990, and earned a law degree from Mizzou three years later. In the course of practicing law in Kansas City, he helped earn freedom for a man wrongly convicted of murder, appeared on stage with the Blue Man Group with his head in a gelatin mold, swapped clothes with veteran rocker Sammy Hagar, and aided basketball coaches who ran afoul of NCAA rules. A lifelong college hoops fan, Mr. Atchison let his curiosity about the history of Missouri basketball run wild, and the result is this book, a true labor of love.  He lives in Parkville, Missouri.
