Preserving Your Heritage

February 26, 2014 By nathan.stufflebean@donning.com Leave a Comment

The Donning Company Publishers is a specialty book publisher of limited-edition commemorative volumes, pictorial histories and contemporary portraits. Donning limited-edition books are custom-tailored to preserve and celebrate your heritage. Each Donning book is created with the highest standards for editorial and design excellence and quality craftsmanship.

The Donning Company Publishers began in the mid-1970s when the company’s founders published a pictorial history of their hometown. The volume was an immediate success.

A Rich History

In the following years, Donning would bring award-winning “Portraits of America” series to cities, counties, states and regions from Alaska to Florida, Maine to Hawaii. Using our innovative marketing techniques, we expanded our original “Portraits” concept to include historical and contemporary volumes on colleges and universities, businesses and associations, golf and country clubs, and multicultural heritage.

Today, the Donning Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Walsworth with state-of-the-art printing and binding facilities. Throughout our history, Donning has been the honored recipient of many local and national awards for historic preservation and excellence in graphic design.

A Turnkey Company

Donning is a turnkey company offering a comprehensive range of publishing and printing services from one source. Donning is here to assist you, starting with fundraising support for organizations looking for a commemorative book, but unsure where to begin raising those funds.

We can provide author-acquisition support to ensure a comprehensive history. Editorial support will make certain your manuscript is presentation-worthy prior to design submission.

Award-winning graphic designers will work on your edited manuscript to achieve the look and feel you’re searching for. We have a marketing team that will assist you from presale campaigns through the life of your publication.

Our manufacturing facility will enhance your publication with an array of paper, binding and shipping options. Finally, we deliver a beautiful publication that fits your schedule.

With nearly 40 years of experience and 2,000 published titles, The Donning Company can ensure your publishing experience is enjoyable and successful. A Donning limited edition offers you an opportunity to help create a permanent record of your community, business or association, multicultural heritage, country club, or college or university in a handsome coffee table book featuring hundreds of captioned archival photographs with complementary text.
